Building AI products from real workflows

VTech Studio

The live PTE Talents Academic practice platform

How VTech Studio frames product work around concrete user tasks, with honest distinctions between a live platform, a landing page and a developing product.

An AI product needs a clear task that someone can complete. A polished interface or a promising model capability can help, but neither explains whether the workflow is useful. We prefer to begin with the problem, the constraints and the evidence that would let someone assess a working result.

Describe the task before the technology

Identify what the person is trying to achieve, what information they need and which parts of the process are difficult today. Define a small outcome that can be reviewed. This makes it easier to decide where AI may help and where a conventional interface is sufficient.

For an agent product, the workflow also needs boundaries: what can be read, what can be changed and which actions require human review.

Use precise product status

A live product, a landing page and an in-development system offer different evidence. Describing them accurately helps visitors understand what they can try today and what is still being explored.

PTE Talents is a live PTE Academic practice platform. It provides practice workflows across speaking, writing, reading and listening, mock exams and AI-assisted feedback. Practice estimates should not be presented as official Pearson scores or a guarantee of an exam outcome.

GatherGO currently has a project landing page. The product is in development, exploring AI, maps, social context and curated place data for local discovery. The landing page communicates the direction; it does not establish that the full discovery product has launched.

Our Agent Collaboration Workspace is also in development. Its direction is a shared layer for people and their personal AI agents, centered on permissioned context, collaboration and human oversight.

Make each iteration reviewable

A useful iteration should answer a concrete question. Can a person find the next practice task? Can a teammate understand an agent handoff? Can someone identify the source of a decision? The answer should come from the workflow and visible evidence, not from an invented usage metric.

Build credibility through clarity

Clear status, real screenshots and linked products let visitors inspect what exists. They also leave room to discuss what needs to improve. We do not need to present every experiment as a finished product to explain why the work matters.
